SIDECAR STOPPED OPERATION ON DECEMBER OF 2015, RIP
Sidecar announced this week that it is reducing its prices to match other ride sharing companies. In my personal opinion Sidecar has the best app. The best app for the rider and best app for the driver, unfortunately Sidecar is not as popular as Lyft and Uber. It is in less cities but is rapidly expanding.
Sidecar is trying to catch up. In addition to lowering their prices they are bumping up their referral program. In the past they only offered $5 credit for your first ride when signing up with a promo code. This week they announce they are raising it to $15 for a limited time. I can now call that a free ride. If you haven’t signed up for Sidecar, now is the time to do it and take a free ride. Use promo code STEVE691
The advantage of Sidecar is that before you request a ride you get to choose what vehicle you want to pick you up. The app will provide you with a picture of all the cars and drivers in your area along with the ETA and set price for your ride. It can tell you the price ahead of time because it requires you to enter your final destination. That means no surprises at the end of the ride.
I recommend keeping all three apps on your phone, Uber, Lyft and Sidecar. One of the reasons is on a busy night all the Lyft drivers might be busy and instead of waiting you might find one available on Uber or Sidecar.
If you haven’t signed up for any of these services, look for the promo codes on this website so you can get your free ride. Sign up for two and that’s a free round trip. But now I can finally say you can get more then a free round trip on www.MyFreeLift.com
