Most people know they can get a price quote for their trip before they request an Uber ride. It is less known how much Uber chargers, per mile/minute. Here is a little secret to know the price in your area right from the app.
To request a fare estimate you first set your pickup location then tap on Fare Estimate. This is an estimate because the fare is calculated by distance and time.

But how much is each mile and minute cost? Each market is different. To find out the price at your location first open the app, select the type of Uber you want and then tap your selection again. This will give you your current prices including if their is a Surge price increase. See image below, if your requesting UberXL select it then tap it again.
